Temuera Morrison MNZM, (born 26 December 1960), is a New Zealand actor who first gained recognition in his home country for portraying Dr. Hone Ropata on Shortland Street. He is highly praised for his portrayal of Jake The Muss Heke in Once Were Warriors (1994) and its sequel in 1999. Outside of New Zealand, Morrison is best known for his work in the Star Wars multimedia franchise, playing the roles of Jango Fett and his many genetic clones, including the clone troopers and Jango's clone son Boba Fett. The role of Jango was first played by Morrison in the 2002 film Attack of the Clones. His portrayal of Boba Fett includes voicing the character in the 2004 re-release of The Empire Strikes Back, various video games, and fully playing Boba in The Mandalorian (2019–present) and The Book of Boba Fett (2021–2022). In 2022, he had a recurring role in the black ops thriller series Echo 3. He provided the voice for Chief Tui, Moana's father, in the Disney film Moana (2016), as well as portraying Tom Curry, Arthur Curry's father, in DCEU films such as Aquaman (2018), The Flash (2023), and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023). Early life Morrison, born on December 26, 1960, in Rotorua, New Zealand's North Island. Hana Morrison (née Stafford) and Laurie Morrison, a musician, are his parents. His ancestry is Māori (Te Arawa and Tainui) as well as Scottish and Irish. Taini Morrison, his sister, was a performer, and his uncle, Sir Howard Morrison, was a musician. His secondary education took place at Wesley College, Auckland, and Western Heights High School, Rotorua.
